ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Every child deserves access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in life.
As your State Representative, I will advocate for policies that put students, parents, and teachers first

Empty Classroom Setting

Focus on Academic Achievement

  • Support legislation that prioritizes reading, writing, math, science, and civics.

  • Advocate for evidence-based literacy programs to ensure every child can read proficiently by third grade.

  • Promote regular measurement of student progress and transparent reporting of academic outcomes

Empower Parents

  • Ensure parents have access to curriculum information and academic performance data.

  • Support policies that strengthen communication between schools and families.

  • Protect parents' role as primary decision-makers in their children's education.

Expand Career and Technical Education

  • Increase funding for career and technical education (CTE) programs.

  • Strengthen partnerships between schools, local businesses, trade organizations, and community colleges.

  • Create more pathways for students pursuing skilled trades, apprenticeships, military service, and workforce careers.

Promote Accountability and Local Control

  • Support high academic standards and measurable results.

  • Give local school districts greater flexibility to meet the needs of their students.

  • Review state mandates to ensure schools can focus resources on student learning.

School Safety and Student Success

  • Advocate for safe learning environments where students can focus on learning.

  • Expand access to school counselors, mental health resources, and anti-bullying programs.

  • Support policies that improve attendance, student engagement, and graduation rates.

Strong schools are one of the reasons families choose Woodbury. I will work to protect and strengthen that tradition of excellence by focusing on academic achievement, parental involvement, teacher support, and preparing every student for future success."
